Hollywood lies at the heart of American culture and history. And through the years, the United States Postal Service has honored the greatest stars of the silver screen on a series of commemorative stamps that have enchanted and captivated Americans of all ages.
Now, in a unique tribute to the legends of Hollywood,
25 extraordinary stamps that capture the greatest personalities in movie history have been preserved forever as solid silver ingots richly layered with pure 24-karat gold.
From such early legends as Charlie Chaplin and Boris Karloff, to stars of the golden age of movies like Greta Garbo, Cary Grant and John Wayne, this collection is the only one
of its kind in the world. It has been created in a remarkable spirit of cooperation between Hollywood studios and family estates, and is officially licensed and authorized by the United States Postal Service.
As a subscriber to The Hollywood Legends Collection, you will receive one stamp ingot per month until your collection is complete. To assure the highest quality and the future collector value, only 17,500 complete sets are authorized to be struck. When the minting is complete, the master dies will be housed for posterity in the National Postal Museum, Washington D.C.
Each delivery is accompanied by an educational Fact Card with details about the featured star and original stamp. Throughout the collection, you will also receive, at no additional cost, a beautiful lacquered wood Collector's Chest, a
jeweler's cloth and handling gloves, a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, and a Portfolio featuring the
25 original stamps in mint condition, individually hand-signed by award-winning actor Tony Curtis. The following pages highlight some of the greatest stars in this unique collection.
